Elma vs. Other Computer Games Well, I stated on #across that I wanted to write an article, but that I couldn't come up with a subject, so I decided to write about one of the suggested topics, elma vs. other computer games. Question 1: What is it that makes elma so addictive, not to mention, fun, to play? Answer: I think, that it is the fact that you can't adjust the driving conditions, that the Lev Editor is not like Starcraft World Builder or something, that the bike's attributes do not vary, so that one bike has better acceleration, and one has better top speed, and one weighs more so it rolls better in down hills, one has better suspensions, and so on, and so on..... Conclusion: It's simple. Question 2: Why do we like simple games? Answer: Tough question, but I think I may have the answer..... The enjoyability may increase disturbingly much, if we can just turn on a game and go straight to play it, and that's the way elma is. Conclusion: In fact, it's the same issue as question 1, it's simple. Since this is about elma and other games, I will make the final conclusion about the issue: Other games are fine, and in certain cases we love that you can adjust everything, elma however, is not that kind of game. Our good friend Balasz obviously knew what he was doing when he made across, he didn't make it too complicated, and not too adjustable. Of course, this is my opinion about the issue, you may think that elma would be good with tons of adjustabilities (word?), but I don't think so, and that's the point of this article.
